Chennai in the state Tamil Nadu is the fourth largest among Indian cities. Madurai and Kumbakonam are major temple towns in Tamil Nadu.The main attraction of the town Madurai being the Meenakshi temple. The state is also lined with a lot of beaches; Velankanni is another town by the beach which houses a church for mother Mary for Christian devouts. Resorts in various hill stations such as Ooty and Kodaikanal remain most sought after during the summer months. Tamil nadu is home to a lot of ancient historical monuments, mouth watering food and a variety in everything it offers.
The moment you think Kerala, what comes to your mind is the lovely backwaters and the greenery which surrounds it. Kochi more popularly known as the “Gateway to Kerala”, an enchanting city which is left with a lot of influence from its settlers those days. A trip in the houseboat along the palm-fringed Kerala canals, or the backwaters is what most tourists are attracted to in Kerala. At this juncture, Kerala also shares these attributes with its counterpart in Andhra Pradesh called Konaseema tourism is picking up pace due to its sheer similarity to Kerala. Trivandrum is the capital city which houses the great Padmanaswamy temple. Munnar is a popular hill station, your best summer holiday in this state.
Bangalore is
the hot shot pit stop in Karnataka from where you can embark onto exploring the
state. Karnataka is blessed with pleasant weather for most part of the year
thus endearing itself to tourists especially those from abroad. Be it Belur ,
haleibedu, Sravanabelagola or Hampi the state is full of architectural marvels.
Gokarna in the northern part of Karnataka is a popular beach destination.
Mysore and Coorg are other well known towns in the state.
Telengana-
the most recent state formed in the country shares Hyderabad as the
administrative capital with its counterpart- Andhra Pradesh. Be it religious
tourism or for sheer architecture the state is teeming today with tourists.
Telengana tourism has spots such as Bradrachalam (Temple of the lord Rama),
Vemulawada (Sri Raja rajeswara), Yadaagiri gutta and the like. The church at
Medak is also a sight to behold. Hyderabad for its share also is home to Mecca
masjid, Golconda fort, Hussain sagar lake, Charminar and a hoard of other
monuments built during the Nizam days.

One major city of Andhra Pradesh is Visakhapatnamcity which has quite a lot of
attractions such as Kailashagiri Park, Visakha Museum, the Dolphins Nose, and
the Lighthouse. Araku valley in Vizag district is a known hill station. Horsley
Hills is a summer hill resort in the Chittoor district.
